- The Eagles had their first divisional test yesterday against the Redskins. Washington opened up a 17-7 first-half lead but the Eagles eventually took a 21-20 lead into halftime. After making it 27-20, former-Eagle DeSean Jackson scored an 81-yard touchdown to tie it. Philadelphia responded with 10 points of their own to roll to a 37-34 victory. More here.
- The Phillies wrapped up their three-game series with the A's yesterday. Marlon Byrd had a strong game for the Phillies going 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs but nine innings was not enough as they two teams headed to extras. Josh Donaldson was the big man for the A's this afternoon going 3-for-5 with a walk, two RBIs, three runs scored and the game-winning two-run home run in the 10th inning to win it 8-6. More here.
