PHILLIES FALL TO FISH IN 11 INNINGS
The Phillies (57-95) could not build off of Tuesday's win against the Marlins (65-87), as Dee Gordon's 11th inning double helped the fish defeat the Phillies 4-3. Freddy Galvis gave the Phillies a 3-2 lead with two outs in the 10th with an RBI single, but the lead was short-lived, as a throwing error by Carlos Ruiz gave the Marlins new life in the bottom half of the inning. David Buchanan went five innings and gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out three, while Adam Conley gave up only one run on three hits and struck out eight for the Marlins.
The rubber match of the series is tonight, with Alec Asher (0-4, 9.78 ERA) looking for his first career win against Miami's Jarred Cosart (2-4, 4.43 ERA), a former Phillies prospect. (RECAP)
DEMARCO MURRAY LEFT PRACTICE WITH A HAMSTRING TWEAK
Eagles running back DeMarco Murray left practice Wednesday after what is now known as a hamstring tweak. It does not seem to be that serious, but we should see how he is later in practice today. Also take note that the team will be leaving for New York today, in preparation for the Pope coming to Philly. Other than that, Chip Kelly confirmed that Kiko Alonso has a knee sprain and that he hasn't ruled the linebacker out for this week. Mychal Kendricks, Cedric Thornton, and Taylor Hart also didn't practice. (REPORT)
FLYERS CUT 23, SEND PROVOROV, KONECNY TO JUNIORS, MORIN TO PHANTOMS
Big day for the Flyers roster, as the hype train for the two draft picks from this year came to a quick halt, as defenseman Ivan Provorov and forward Travis Konecny were sent back to their Junior league teams. 19 other players were sent to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL, including defenseman Sam Morin. This will be his first professional season after spending last season in Juniors. Shayne Gostisbehere remains on the team for now. (CUTS)

THE LEGACY OF AL DAVIS LIVED ON, UNTIL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON
It's the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl, and if you haven't seen, the NFL logo is gold, and every field has the 50-yard line painted gold. Except for the Raiders. Earlier yesterday, there was a report that they would not paint their 50-yard line gold because of some issues with the league, such as not helping the Raiders build a new stadium. Well, that became lies when owner Mark Davis said that the team was waiting for baseball season to finish up before painting everything, including the gold, for their next home game in two weeks against Denver. DALAI LAMA WOULD BE OPEN TO A FEMALE DALAI LAMA, BUT SHE WOULD HAVE TO BE ATTRACTIVE
So one of religion's highest leaders said that he would welcome a lady Dalai Lama, only if she was attractive. That's a shock, but I love it. (REPORT)
