- The Phillies were in South Florida last night taking on the Marlins. Kyle Kendrick was fabulous tonight needing just 86 pitches to get through seven innings en route to his team-leading 10th victory. Kendrick also had a career-high three hits going 3-for-3 with an RBI double as the Phillies rolled to a 2-1 win. More here.
- Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. was asked if he planned to hold closer Jonathan Papelbon out of the final three games in Philadelphia. "He will have served his time," Amaro said. "He's done his time, and now it's time for him to pitch." More here.
- The Flyers began tracking players’ efficiency and speed in practice at the beginning of last season thanks to computer chips placed on the players’ pads. The Flyers have carried over the use of the chips to the 2014 preseason. More here.
