Villanova forward Jayvaughn Pinkston came down with the deadly bacterial infection in August which saw him end up on crutches and in danger of losing his leg according to the New York Post. He had a minor procedure done to puncture his leg in four spots to drain it but that did not do the job so he had emergency surgery to clean up the infection.
He is all clear now and ready to play. The redshirt junior told the Post, "I didn’t know if I was going to lose my leg or not. I kept praying that I was going to be all right."
This is not the first we are hearing about MRSA recently as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were dealing with a MRSA outbreak just two weeks ago.
