The Flyers announced that center Vinny Lecavalier will be out for two weeks with a lower-body injury. It is presumably a foot injury after taking a Mark Streit slap shot to the foot in the first period of Saturday night's shootout loss to the Canadiens.
Lecavalier has one goal and two assists for three points in three games so far this season. The 34-year-old scored 20 goals and dished out 17 assists for 37 points in 69 games last season for the Flyers but only had one goal and one assist in the seven-game series against New York in the playoffs.
